My name is John Jacob, and I am your State Representative for District 93. I want to thank everyone who supported me during the election and voted for me. I also want to assure everyone, whether or not you supported me, that I will do my best to represent your best interest as your state representative.

Please allow me to introduce myself to you.

My wife, Angie, and I are lifetime south-siders. Together we have six grown children, and four living grandchildren.

Angie and I have been saved by Jesus Christ and it is the most remarkable thing that has ever happened to us. He has forever changed our lives, and we are thankful to be able to serve side by side in His Church. Over the past thirty years, we have been active in many ministries, including marriage mentoring and counseling, leading small groups, street evangelism, housing and ministering to international students, as well as short-term mission trips. We’ve seen the immense value of religious freedom first-hand. We’ve seen precious truths give victory to so many through the challenges of life families face every day and, as your Representative, I am working hard to defend our freedoms, making it easier for families to face these challenges and overcome them.

For the past four years we have also been involved in outreach to abortion-minded women. We provide both counseling and support in order to help women be able to keep their children or find a loving adoptive home for them. Life is a precious gift, and I believe that the first duty of government is to protect all human life, especially the most innocent and helpless among us. As your Representative, I am working hard to end the heinous practice of abortion, and establish the right to life for all humans, regardless of age or stage of development.

My work experience includes more than 28 years as a sworn officer of the court tasked with auditing state government spending. I understand what it takes to make government fiscally responsible and, as your Representative, I am working hard to enact laws and policy that makes government more efficient and our lives all the happier.

A few years ago, my wife and I made the decision to own our own business. We understand the hard work of small business owners and operators and the importance of small businesses to our state economy, and as your Representative, I am working hard to make it easier for small businesses to succeed.

I have always believed that individual freedom and personal responsibility are part of what makes Indiana a great state in which to live. Part of individual freedom and personal responsibility include being able to protect yourself and those you love. As your Representative, I am working hard to secure and protect our right to self-defense. Constitutional Carry is an inalienable right, something that will benefit all Hoosiers, and I support its passage, which will save lawful gun owners almost $5 million in fees for a right for which they shouldn’t have to pay.

These are just some of the things that are important to me, and I believe are important to you as well. This is why I ran for and won the job of State Representative of District 93. I hope that I can count on your support during this legislative session so that together we can promote family, freedom, and fiscal responsibility at the Statehouse.

Thank you, and God bless you.
